British Airways Reverses Policy- Cross Not So Evil Afterall

Maybe the UK isn’t going totally to hell socially…

British Airways, in a move that brings the word “idiotic” to mind, banned their employees from wearing crosses to work (heaven forbid, that evil cross!!)…they have now changed their tune and will allow the practice after church of england reps said they would boycott, British MPs spoke out against the airline, and others said they wouldn’t use the airline because of the situation.

I guess you know you’ve made a stupid decision when you’re about to lose millions of dollars over said decision. It’s all about the money in the end…

Gloria Allred is a Race-Baiting, Attention-Loving Fool

Gloria Allred loves attention. She craves it. She adores it when people see her name in the newspaper or her image on TV. She’s also a lunatic.

She is representing two black men in the comedy club where Mchael Richards went on his racist rant…she is demanding that Richards meet both men in front of a retired judge an apologize to them. She’s also demading the men be paid damages.

She says that saying “sorry” isn’t enough and she demands more.

From the story:

“It’s not enough to say ‘I’m sorry,’” she said.

She did not mention a specific figure, but pitched the idea as a way for the comic to avoid a lawsuit.

“Our clients were vulnerable,” Allred said. “He went after them. He singled them out and he taunted them, and he did it in a closed room where they were captive.”

What exactly do these men need to paid for?! For feeling insulted? If I got money from someone everytime they insulted me, I’d be rich, and I’d wager most of you out there would be rich yourselves!

You can’t go to a comedy club and sue someone for calling you a name, no matter how despicable the name is! Folks like Allred harp on and on about free speech…except when it limits their ability to bring in the cash, representing two idiots. I don’t know who the two men are that Richards screamed at, but in my view- they’re just as bad as he is. They’re fools who are trying to take advantage of this situation, doing their best to turn it into pay day. Maybe they can get real jobs and make a living as opposed to using shameless media whores like Allred to get them instant paychecks for nothing?! Is that possible?

I say all 4 of these people need to get a clue. Don’t use the situation to become rich, don’t go off on racist rants to begin with, and don’t take a ridiculous case just to get your name in the newspaper.

More Evidence “Palestinians” Support Terrorism

Women and children are surrounding the house of a terrorist…

More proof that the “palestinian” people support terrorism and cannot be considered an ally in any sense of the word.

This is just another piece of evidence that these people are no friends of peace and sanity. The fact they elected a terrorist government wasn’t enough…the fact they danced in the street in celebration on 9/11 wasn’t enough…the public polls that show upwards of 75% of the populace supports terrorism wasn’t enough. They had to go and prove their wicked mindset yet again.

The roadmap to peace nowhere is stalled, and thank goodness for that. You cannot have peace when the vast majority of “palestinians” are on the side of the terrorists.

In America

In America- a 12 year old girl cannot even go on a school field trip to a petting zoo without her parents consent. Yet, thanks to ultra-liberals, these same girls can kill their unborn babies without any permission or even mere notification of the pattern.

A parent in America has to be notified if their child gets a bad grade…but when that girl has sex, gets pregnant, and decides she wants to hide this all and kill the baby- that same parent is left in the dark.

Thanks to the “tolerant” liberals. They’re fine with a girl killing her baby and not telling her parents. That’s all good and well…now if that girl wanted to pray in school or write a paper and mention the word “Jesus”- the ACLU goons would be after her in a heartbeat. Too many Americans have their priorities all screwed up.

Congrats America

San Francisco liberal as speaker of the house with ultra-liberal San Francisco “values.” Conspicracy nut who took part in mock Bush Impeachment as the chairman of the Judiciary Jommitte. A convicted felon as the chairman of the Intelligence Committee. Ultra Liberal Charlie Rangell as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.

An end to the Bush tax cuts. Say goodbye to your extra cash in a few years and hello to higher taxes.

Cuts in military spending. At a time when we need that spending most.

A refusal to agressively fight the war on terror. At a time when we need to be as strong as we possibly can be.

Americans will have to live with the results of their actions. I’m afraid most won’t care for these results- but too many of us have become too weak to fight the war on terror, to forgetful to remember Sept 11, and just plain too ignorant of what the results will be. We push a button on a screen, most of us having no idea what we’re sowing and having no clue what we will be forced to reap.

Newspapers Endorsing Candidates

I’ve never understood this process. Newspapers- who are supposed to be unbiased and politically neutral endorse candidates for elections. Why? 1. Why should it matter that the NY Times endorsed a candidate- does anyone even find out which paper endorsed which candidates? and 2. Why do papers even do this to begin with?

Prime example…this year the NY Times, that bastion of liberalism (deny it all you want, the paper’s constant Bush-bashing and leaking of secret intel is evidence enough of their liberal bias) isn’t endorsing a single Republican candidate. In past years they have endorsed so-called “moderate” Republicans every now and then, but this year- zero. They said the GOP is “brain dead,” and that they have wrecked the economy (nonsense- Dow 12, 000!), and hurt the middle class.

So- the Times, in my view, basically outright admits its biases with this act.

Putting that aside- how about ALL newspapers just report the news, editorial writers have their opinions, but let’s stop officially endorsing any candidates. It seems odd to claim to be unbiased while you endorse Democrats 100%, as is the case with the Times.

Univ of PA President Buddies Up with “Terrorist”

The President of the University of Pennsylvania showed up for a Halloween party…she took a picture with a student dressed as a homicide bomber who pretended to execute other students, had explosives strapped to his chest, pretended to murder others with a gun.

Should a University president be taking pictures with this idiot?

Click the link above for all the pics posted of these fool and the picture of the University president.

E-Mail the university and ask them to censure her or even boot her if you ask me…

John Kerry’s “Joke”

I haven’t been posting a lot lately. Lots of work, lots of other things, very little time to sit down and think these issues through, let alone form a post about them.

I wanted to quickly mention John Kerry’s inane comment about the troops the other day.

When I heard this- I was furious. When I heard his live press conference in the car on my lunch break, I was a bit more furious. His arrogance was on display for all to see and hear. I will NOT apologize for attacking Bush, he told us…The Republicans are distorting what I said, this is their usual tactic of lying, they’re all dishonest, this is despicable, I won’t allow them to get away with it, blah blah blah…

I couldn’t believe a man who said this refused to apologize and was so full of so much anger. He merely deflected and attacked the Republicans, Rush Limbaugh (whom Kerry called “doughy”- real mature!), Tony Snow, etc. He had the audacity to claim HE was the victim. HE was the one being attacked.

There are major problems with the idea that Kerry claimed what he said was a “botched joke.”

It’s absurd that some people out there are standing by Kerry’s explanation and bogus “apology.”

Think about what Kerry said at the event:

“I can’t overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up getting stuck in a war in Iraq.”

Let’s take this apart. John Kerry claims that he was NOT referring to US troops, but instead botched a joke he was attempting to make about Bush. The biggest problem here is the fact that there’s seemingly no joke here. He claims that he left off the line “just as President Bush”, claiming that he was saying Bush got stuck in Iraq.

Well- that doesn’t float. Bush wasn’t intellectually lazy and he didn’t go without an education. George Bush got a higher education than John Kerry.

Bush went to Yale and then went onto Harvard Business School to get his MBA (Bush is the only president to earn an MBA.) So- Kerry could not possibly have been referring to Bush when speaking of people who were “if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy.” Kerry attended Yale as well and went on to get a graduate degree at Boston College. No matter- clearly a man who earns an MBA from an ivy league school isn’t intellectually lazy, uneducated, or stupid. So, it’s clear he wasn’t speaking of Bush.

More proof?

In 1972, John Kerry said of the American military:

“I am convinced a volunteer army would be an army of the poor and the black and the brown,” Kerry wrote. “We must not repeat the travesty of the inequities present during Vietnam. I also fear having a professional army that views the perpetuation of war crimes as simply ‘doing its job.’

So, he thinks that an all volunteer army would be comprised of uneducated minorities. Remember in these same years that Kerry appeared before the House and claimed that all American military men in Vietnam were committing war crimes!

See the clear pattern here? Kerry doesn’t care about the military and he never has. If he’s not calling them war criminals in the 70′s or meeting with the enemy in Paris…he’s attacking them in December 2005 (claiming that our troops are terrorizing innocent women and children), and now he makes these new comments.

The claim of a joke doesn’t make sense, as Bush doesn’t fit the punchline. He isn’t uneducated, he’s not intellectually lazy, and he’s not anything that Kerry claimed.

Kerry was clearly speaking of the troops, not the president. Why anyone is standing behind his phony story and his bogus apology, I’ve no idea.

Early Voting

I went to work a half hour early today. I got there at 7AM, due to the fact that I was leaving early to get breakfast and waiting in the drive-thru, then stopping by to get a drink to take with me to work (some orangeade or something nifty like that.) Well, that didn’t take long at all, surprisingly, so I arrived early.

I started dubbing out programs to DVC pro and DVD for archive purposes. I worked the entire day through- in the sense that there wasn’t really any downtime. I called 4 people about applications they sent in for an open position, prepared tomorrow’s programming, recorded some preview feeds and the regular shows, etc.

Now to the main topic- I went on my lunch break with a co-worker to do early voting at the election office. I didn’t even know they had a dedicated election office- but they do, indeed. I went with him and we used the nifty touch screen machines to vote. Did my civic duty and all, and it only took about 40 mins total to wait in line, vote, and get back to work which is all downtown (the election office inside the convention center and the tv station.) I felt bad in that some of the candidates I’ve never heard of, and I just chose whoever in a random fashion. I mean, really- how can you remember 20 school board candidates, let alone have much of an idea what they stand for? Also- the city is segmented into “townships” which shows which district and ward you’re in. I’m in ward 6 district 13, I discovered.

There were 2 ballot questions asking if some judges I’ve never heard of should be retained. I voted YES to all 3…the 3rd question was similar, but I forget what it said. You realize, tho, that voting is a fairly pointless process for many candidates. With the House race- I have heard the issues regarding it, I’ve seen both guys- I knew who I was voting for…but county council, county commission and jobs like accessor (what the heck these people do, I’ve very little idea)- it’s fairly useless to even try to decide who to vote for. Poor candidates who have very little way of getting their message out, getting their name out there, etc. I imagine most people do just what I did- get confused and just vote for whoever looks good (or maybe their names look good on the screen?)

Anyhow- I voted. There weren’t tons of people, the line was short…it wasn’t painful at all. Let’s all try to do the same.

Nonsensical Horror Movie Psychobabble

Bill O’Reilly had a psychotherapist on his show last night and he asked who goes to see movies like SAW III. She said- people who want power to hurt others…people who have built up rage. She went into the nonsense about how children are impotent and when you’re 2 years old, you didn’t get enough attention, thus- these adults feel like powerless children and the movies give them power.

In the mind of the moviegoer- the killer is the “hero” and the one with the power…she went back to her nonsense about being a 2 yr old and having no power. Absurd psychobabble.

I went to see SAW III, and I thought it was okay. I assure you- I have no anger that I’m holding back- I’m the most laid back guy out there…I hardly ever get angry with anyone. I never yell at people, I just take things easy as often as I can. I don’t have an urge for power, I don’t feel powerless, etc. None of the things this lady said apply to me, nor do they apply to 95% of us who saw the film and films like it. I’m a horror fan. Some people are prudes. Including O’Reilly, the psychotherapist, and James Hirsen. They might not enjoy the films, and that’s great…SAW III wasn’t great, but it was entertaining nonetheless. I say- NO WAY to kids seeing these films, but for adults- the people that see these films aren’t insane, they’re not unstable, they’re not crazy. They just want a good scare.
