John McCain’s New Uhhh “Stance” on Gay Marriage
Mar 29th
Seems John McCain’s myspace page was messed with. Well, actually, it was the theme the McCain people were using for the page. They neglected to give credit to the theme’s creator, and they decided it would be a good idea to steal the direct images from that person as well- causing bandwidth issues.
Check out the regular page and the page with McCain’s new stance on gay marriage on it…

Sci-Fi’s The Lost Room on DVD April 3
Mar 24th
The recent sci-fi network mini-series The Lost room will be released as a 2 DVD set on April 3. I have it on my DVR, but never got around to watching it yet…I guess I will just delete it and pick up the DVD in April.

Worth checking out from talking to friends who saw it and seeing the nearly consensus positive reviews online…
YouTube “Phenoms”
Mar 24th
I was sitting here flipping through the channels, and I saw some show on VH1 called the 40 greatest internet personalities or stars or something like that. Anyhow, they mentioned this girl lonelygirl15 who blogged about completely mundane things that happened in her life. It turns out, it was a fake, and she’s really a 19 year old actress from New Zealand. My question is- who on earth watched this girl’s regular video blogs and thought they were interesting? I sat through a handful of them a few weeks ago when I saw some story on another site about this whole thing, and I nearly fell asleep. Okay, I didn’t actually almost fall asleep, but the videos were boring. Mundane is the word that I think best describes them.
They weren’t funny, they weren’t interesting, they were pretty much a waste of time.
Or maybe I just have bad taste. Who knows.
I don’t get what the big deal is with this girl and her boring videos…just as I don’t get the phenomenon with other such video bloggers (they also featured some girl named loca something who thousands of people watched)…also fairly boring. A phony latina teen who was annoying and had a grating hispanic accent. Yay. Or not.
I guess I just don’t get the what all the excitement is about. Not that I think many people would find this site here all that exciting or exciting at all, and that’s not the point of it. I couldn’t care less if only a handful of people ever read the site here, and I can see a page full of posts with no comments at all- it frankly doesn’t bother me. I just do it because I’ve been doing it for years, and it’s a mini-outlet for those who want to and do read the site ona regular or even not-so-regular basis. Being all witty and entertaining and getting lots of attention was the point of the video bloggers I mentioned, but I digress…
Flying Imam Lawsuit- Another Reason for Americans to Distrust Muslims?
Mar 24th
I didn’t hear about the flying imams filing a lawsuit against fellow airline passengers who reported the imams suspicious behavior to the crew, which lead to the imams being denied access to their flight.
These fools filed a lawsuit last week against anonymous John Doe’s who reported their odd onboard behavior to the flight crew. The anonymous John Doe’s will be named later according to this report.
I guess these muslims want to cause even more tension between muslims, in general, and non-muslim Americans. I’d wager that most Americans generally distrust muslims and generally dislike islam as a religion. Let’s state one simple reason I will never embrace and will always fight against islam- the religion was founded by a mass murdering warrior who killed innocent people in the name of the religion he created. If that isn’t reason alone to dislike and fight against a religion- nothing is. You can discuss the koran and it’s anti-female bias, it’s anti-muslim threats, etc…but for me it all comes down to the founder of the religion being a raving madman who slaughtered innocent people. If a man who killed just one person created a religion today and people followed him- you’d call these people insane, and you’d shun them all day long. If you’re a man who killed hundreds of innocent people in the name of a series of dreams you had where you claimed God talked to you- you’re called a great prophet, and you’re followers are labeled good people. If you attack their religion- you’re labeled a bigot.
I often chucken when I hear people talk about “moderate” muslims. How can you ever fit the definition of the word “moderate” if while praying, you praise a mass murderer? Answer is- you can’t. It’s impossible. Daily praise for Charles Manson would get you locked up. Daily praise for mohammed is far worse (yet somehow, daily praise for mohammed is tolerated in this country)…mohammed actually murdered people. Manson never touched a hair on the head of those his clan murdered. He merely brainwashed them into following his orders to kill.
Back to the flying imams. If the founder of their religion isn’t reason enough to dislike, fear, and shun them…is this sort of thing enough? Luckily- members in the House see that giving these yahoos the ability to sue the flying public is a dangerous thing for America. It is, as a public interest firm supporting the idea, calls it, “legal terrorism.” It’s unamerican and the threat of a high powered and high priced attorney leaves us all in danger of refusing to report suspicious behavior out of the fear we could be sued.
To muslims (who DO follow a mass murderer)- I feel sorry for them. I pray that they realize this glaring example of insanity and leave the religion as soon as possible. The world could only become a better place with less hatred. Praising a mass murderer is, clearly, the epitome of hatred. Sadly most people are too scared in this politically correct day and age to state this obvious fact.
House Tries to Overtake Presidential War Power
Mar 23rd
I cannot believe the House, today, approved a bill that would basically allow them to take away the power that is solely given to the executive branch- the power to wage war. The president is given the title Commander In Chief for a reason- he is the sole elected official who has the right to wage war with our nation’s military. This has been the case since the inception of this nation and our military.
Today- members of the US House decided they wanted to violate the US Constitution and deny those powers to the president. This can hardly be denied. Stipulating how the war is fought, as they do with this bill, is unconstitional…no if’s, and’s, or but’s about it.
It’s shameful, but not too shocking. There has been, in recent years, a growing movement in Washington for politicians to play games with our safety and the very survivial of our nation. Politics as usual? No. We’re currently in a fight for the very soul and complete survivial of this nation. So, nothing is as usual.
Congress needs to do the people’s work, as opposed to trying to take powers away from the executive branch.

The Problem with Jane Flemming
Mar 21st
YOU tell me what the problem with this picture is…
Need a closer look?
Jane. Seriously? That much cleavage? Is this Fox News or MTV? Sorry. It was just sticking out like a sore thumb…
Unfortunately, I’m too lazy to plug the RF cable into the PC to get a screenshot, so I just snapped a digital picture of the big screen.
Kirsten Powers Laughs at Alan Colmes
Mar 21st
Just to quickly mention- I usually try to catch Hannity and Colmes on Fox News. I was watching tonight, and I have to say- in general, Alan Colmes is out of his mind. He’s way too ideological. Sean is very ideological as well, but he seems much more fair than Colmes. I have a feeling Bill Clinton could murder someone and Colmes would attack a conservative.
I have, in the past couple weeks, seen many liberals laugh at Alan Colmes on the show. Tonight, Kirsten Powers (liberal) was talking about Rush Limbaugh and Arnold Schwarzenegger and how he’s turned very liberal when so many conservatives were excited about him being on their side of things.
Powers appeared in a segment with National Review’s Rich Lowry…she was saying that Arnold HAS become very liberal. To the point where she’d call him a moderate Democrat. Colmes basically said this was poppycock and Powers actually laughed at him. No one can deny Schwarzenegger has a pretty liberal record as governor. Over $6 billion in new spending, after promising he was a fiscal conservative? Amnesty and free healthcare to illegal aliens in California? These are very liberal ideas. No one can deny these facts…the guy has been fairly liberal so far.
You just have to feel bad for Colmes when even those who are on his side of the debate constantly laugh at him. Maybe he’s becoming more radical in his views these past few years? I don’t know…all I know is that I didn’t use to watch him and think to myself “this guy is off his rocker.” I find myself doing that all too much lately…and his liberal allies on the show seem to be doing a little of the same far too much for comfort.
Just something I noticed. And I share.
Gore: Over The Top
Mar 21st
I haven’t looked a lot into the global warming issue. I haven’t studied it in detail, that is. I do know for a fact that Al Gore is over the top. His claims are hysterical. Sea levels rising 20 feet in the next 100 years? No. Disaster in the future? No. Global warming is caused by man, that’s a fact, end of story? No.
Anyone can see all of these things…at least I hope all people can see this. I also hope people can see Gore is way over the top.
My thought on this issue, at this very second, is this- I have to laugh when people talk about the “hottest years on record”, except that we have only been measuring global temperatures for what? 200 years maybe? From all I have read- there’s no accurate measure of “global temperature.” Next- the earth is billions of years old, we’ve been measuring temperatures for 200 years, and we’re saying that some hot years in the past few decades equals disaster?
Let’s use some common sense here. Ice ages, massive floods covering entire continents and more, heat waves, more ice ages. The earth has clearly gone through cycles. If we’ve been measuring temps for only .00000000000000000000000000000000000000001% of the world’s history, how can we ever claim to know ANYTHING with these facts? It’s like studying 10 people on earth and then claiming that these ten represent all people throughout all time. It’s absurd.
This particular part of this issue is clear common sense. Studying temperatures and screaming disaster due to some hot years in the record is nonsensical, and I’m confused why anyone is even parroting these statistics. They mean absolutely nothing. A simple look at this particular aspect of the issue? Yes. But, it’s a simple aspect of the issue to begin with, so it fits.
Furthermore…
I also know that these carbon offsets are nonsense as well. You use all the carbon you want and then buy “credits” where someone else will plant a tree?! Come on. Nonsense. Complete and utter nonsense. As many have said- these are the same as indulgences.
I’ll pollute all I want myself, but I’ll buy a credit for someone else to PROMISE they will do X, Y, and Z? Comeeeee on…
