Chris Matthews Cannot Understand a Simple Point

Watch this video (at ExposeTheLeft) and sit in awe of how clueless Chris Matthews is. This guy has taken part in presidential campaigns, has written books, and hosts 2 TV shows (as of this time.) Coulter explains her point on the marriages of the “9/11 widows” at least 100 times, yet Matthews STILL does not get it. The first time she explained it, I totally understood what she was saying- and I’ve never worked for any campaign or written any book…I surely haven’t hosted a local TV show let alone a show on MSNBC.
Does this mean Chris Matthews is too stupid to understand a simple point of logic? Even after explaining the point to him over and over, he’s confused. Even after he pulls an audience member up to answer the question, and the young guy explains to him that he’s not understanding the point, Matthews is STILL confused!
Chris, buddy, when college-aged kids in the crowd get a point this simple, and you’re still confused, you might as well just throw in the towel.
Maybe Chris does get the point, he’s just being dishonest in his pursuit of his liberal bias? Either way, he makes a complete fool of himself on national television.
Keith Olbermann Still Obsessed with O’Reilly

Keith Olbermann, host of one of the lowest rated cable news shows in all of cable news is obsessed with bringing up another cable news host every ten seconds. That host is Bill O’Reilly- host of the highest rated cable news show. Actually, his ratings kill Olbermann so badly, even when he has a fill-in, he triples Olbermann’s numbers. His 4AM ET repeat consistently beats Olbermann’s live primetime broadcast!
You have to wonder- is he obsessed because he’s jealous, or he’s just insane? You watch the guy for any length of time, and let’s face it- he’s off his rocker. There’s little doubt of this. His O’Reilly obsession furthers that image, and to me- it’s quite frankly…well- creepy. Very very creepy.
Olbermann went on Leno and Craig Ferguson’s CBS latenight show and spread his kookiness to new audiences. He attacked O’Reilly on Leno (as far as what I read- I will watch the video tomorrow)…but said nothing of him by name on Ferguson’s show. Just last week he made a nazi gesture while he held a mask of O’Reilly’s face to his own face. Real mature. The guy is a radical loonball. At least he has a hobby- stalking news hosts who actually have more than 10 viewers. That’s healthy…

It seems that some season ticket holder in Tampa Bay sued and was successful because the Bucaneers were going to pat down people coming into the stadium. Ya know- to prevent someone from bringing in a weapon or a WMD into a packed stadium where they could easily kill tens of thousands of people! Ya know- that whole common sense thing of protecting massive groups of people.
Who fought on his behalf? Well, the ACLU, of course. Do anything to put this nation and out people in danger, then claim privacy rights, freedom of expression rights, or whatever other crap they want to come up with.
This is an issue of keeping 40, 000 people safe…and this whiny baby who sues is just a fool. He could care less about weapons, dangerous bio weapons, whatever else could be brought into a stadium without the pat downs. He’ll still have his season tickets…until someone DOES attack, security missing the attacker because of this whiny ass. Too bad he’ll die in the attack as well.
Why is C-SPAN Covering Whacko Conspiracy Theorists?

Why on earth does C-SPAN, funded by America’s cable companies, air “symposiums” from whackjobs? Today, they’re reairing a “symposium” hosted by the nutjob of all nutjobs, infowars’ Alex Jones- who claims 9/11 was a hoax and it wasn’t terrorists…planes didn’t hit the towers- they were missiles. I saw the planes live on TV, but I guess Jones is just smarter than I am. (yea right.)
MANY sane people have covered all of this nonsense- there was NO “controlled demolition” as Jones and these other morons claim…there were INDEED 4 planes involved. 4 flights, 4 planes full of people are dead. 19 hijackers did, indeed, attack us in 2001. Unfortunately, there are some totally crazy people out there that who can get gullible people to go to hear them talk and buy their ideas.
Sadly- rooms full of people will come to these “symposiums” held by “scholars” and be fooled into buying their BS. It’s actually rather scary when you watch most of these guys. Then again, conspiracy theorists are usually fairly scary in general.
Why, tho, is C-SPAN giving these whackos airtime? Why did they give the hate-filled Kos kids so much air time for an entire week? (Remember, DailyKos is a site founded and run by a guy who said that the contractors in Fallujah deserved what they got, ‘f them,’ I think he said…)
I’m contacting C-SPAN myself, because it seems they have a definite bias in what they air and don’t air. If you can get phony “impeachment hearings” and Cindy Sheehan lead hate-fests aired, what can you NOT get aired on this network? I see MANY conservative (read: sane) events that are totally passed up, while they give airtime to people like Jones who actually claims 9/11 was a US government invention, not a terrorist attack at all.
I personally think these networks need to stop giving airtime to kooks and covering a more diverse spectrum of ideas. I see far too many good events not given any airtime when conspiracy theorists damaging our nation are given hours. That’s just not right in my book.

Condi Picture Abuse?

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this story I saw the tail end off on Headline News. It was the short spots that one lady does- she goes out into the streets to discuss different issues with people she finds walking down the sidewalks.
She was discussing the use of a picture of Sec of State Conaleeza Rice where some newspaper had her on the front page, looking defeated, as if she was mopping her brow or even worse- looking as if she was about to faint.
But, when you check the video of the press conference- you see that she was merely pushing some hair out of her face, not the horrible looking picture they snapped of her. CNN apparently used the picture on their page of the story- claiming that this was the pic that best described the whole story…and they also showed the front page of a newspaper I didn’t see the name of.
The people she interviewed on the streets were all saying that it was clearly misusing the photo- that it distorted the event, and tricked readers into thinking something other than the truth.
I don’t see any info. on Drudge, Malkin, Freep, etc. Maybe this is an older story? If anyone has links to the story, please comment with that info.
Using Children as Political Pawns

Jill Greenberg, a liberal photographer used children in order to attack Bush and his policies. She made the children cry by giving them lollipops, then taking them away (harsher tactics were used with children she couldn’t get to cry)…she snapped pics of the kids after they started crying in order to portray them as crying over the Bush administration and the current state of the nation.
Many are saying what she did was abuse…and if not abuse, it was wrong and rather sick of her.
I’d have to agree…this seems like abuse to me. The photographer admits she did what she could to be mean. She admitted it WAS “mean.” But she says that anyone who thinks this abuse is basically crazy, because it surely wont affect these kids in the long term. She stripped the shirts off the kids before snapping the pics. When she couldn’t kid them to cry with the lollipops, she asked the parents to leave the room for a few minutes while she tried other tactics. Whatever it took to get these very young kids to bawl for her Bush-hating agenda.
Leftist loonies. They no longer shock me all that much.

Monique- the very fat and very unfunny “comic” was booted off an United Airlines flight recently after she started an argument with a stewardess in regards to her personal hairstylist trying to put a blow dryer in an overhead compartment. The flight crew told the actress that she couldn’t do this- they take things very seriously after 9/11.
What’s a famous black woman in America to do? Well, scream racism of course! When a white woman is told the same thing (as they surely are), it’s not racism…but when a black woman is told the same thing- of course it’s racism. Well, duh.
The actress had this to say:
“I felt like I was being treated like an animal. This happens to black people all the time, and they don’t have a voice”
Oh yes…yes. Completely. You were treated like an animal for being removed for causing a fight and delaying the flight. You act like a princess and expect everyone to treat you like one, and when someone doesn’t kiss your royal feet or your admittedly large royal ass- you whine and start crying racism. You were treated like an animal! This happens to “black people all the time.” They don’t have a voice. No sir. I mean- you’re a black woman with millions of dollars, millions of fans, and a chance to voice your opinion and views all the time. You have SUCH a voice that this news is reported on the cable news stations and makes front page news one of the most traffic-heavy movie sites (imdb.com) on the net. All of this news over an argument on a plane…I don’t think your average citizen, be they white or black or brown or purple, would get this kind of attention. But, you claim, as a black woman, you have no voice…you’re treated like an animal. Riiigghhhttt. Excuse me while I laugh out your absurd statements for a bit.
Screaming racism, then calling for all blacks to boycott a business has become a cottage industry in itself. All we need now is Al Sharpton to come in and picket…unfortunately for Monique, he’s busy claiming racism in the blackouts in St. Louis (the term blackout itself will be called racist by Sharpton, I’m sure.) Maybe when he’s done with his current shakedown in St. Louis, lining his pockets to buy those expensive suits, he can go over and picket United with Monique. Maybe they can even get their friends to set fire to the place their protesting, killing those inside! Sadly, for Sharpton, that wouldn’t be the first time such a thing happened.
Racists are idiots. People who proclaim racism nonstop are, themselves, racists. They’re also idiots.
Let Monique go back to her mansion and her millions…her personal driver, her personal hairstylist, etc. and leave the spotlight for good. Please. America doesn’t need racist fools like you on TV period.
Mo’Nique Thrown Off Plane After “Racist” Incident
Actress Mo’Nique was thrown off a plane after arguing with a flight attendant who the TV star alleges was racist towards her. The disagreement broke out after the 38-year-old’s stylist stashed a hair dryer in a first class baggage locker. While the Phat Girlz actress was flying in luxury, her aide was in economy class. The flight attendant allegedly said to Mo’Nique, “Tell your people that the next time they have an attitude, they are being thrown off … Since 9/11, we don’t play around.” The spat resulted in the small screen star – full name Mo’Nique Imes-Hicks – being escorted back to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport where, according to the actress, a supervisor called local police. Mo’Nique tells the New York Daily News, “I felt like I was being treated like an animal. This happens to black people all the time, and they don’t have a voice. It was humiliating.” Jean Medina, a spokeswoman for United Airlines, says, “We regret Ms. Imes felt in any way that she was not treated with courtesy and respect. There was a confrontation involving a customer that caused the flight to be delayed. When a situation occurs on a flight that causes a delay, or disruption, we must act in the best interest of all our customers.”
She Was the Nicest Lady Ever (Except When She Killed Our Kids)

I’m sorry, but I don’t buy this “temporary insanity” nonsense. Insane is insane. If someone isn’t insane today, they weren’t insane yesterday. ANYONE can have a bad day and do evil acts, and what now? Just claim you were insane ON THAT DAY. Bingo! Thus, murdering your children are fine.
I don’t know all the facts with this trial, but her ex-husband is talking, now, about how when Andrea got off some meds, that’s when she killed her kids. So, let me get this straight- unless this mother of 5 kids takes her medicine, then she murders people…and when she does so, we say that it’s okay because she was “temporarily insane”???!!
Good God, this is the best thing for murderers in a long time. Have you killed someone? Want to stay out or prison for the rest of your life? Well, claim you were insane…no, not really insane, just insane for one day! Claim you were a loving mother who was the greatest ever, until one rainy day when you forgot to take your medicine (or stopped taking it- either way, it’s your decision when to claim insanity!!), then bam-o, you can murder away as you wish. Just claim you were suddenly insane for a day! That’s right, order right now, and we’ll throw in the ‘don’t execute me, because I promise I’m sorry for what I did and have converted to islam’ excuse as well!
Sounds totally insane to me. If someone can miss her medicine a day or two or however long it was, then suddenly go psycho and drown all her kids…that’s a person who is either 1. evil, or 2. COMPLETELY INSANE and there’s NO “termporary” about it! BS. Total BS.
Hi, I’m Andrea Yates. I’m not guilty. I’m not insane. No siree- I’m totally sane. BUT, wait wait- I WAS insane for ONE DAY, yes yes..one day I was insane. But ONLY on that day. Today I’m sane. Tomorrow I might return to insanity for one day (maybe even two days!)…but I’m cool. Totally fine.
Maybe there is such a thing as Postpartum Psychosis, and maybe it really affects some women. But, come on- society is over if we allow these things as defense for murder and othe crimes. Why? Because we all have issues…we all have problems every now and then. If we continue down this path, males will start to claim they raped a woman because they had dangerously high levels of testosterone in their systems! Teens will commit murder and blame it on their changing bodies- their body chemicals gone mad during this process of maturity. I’d say we could probably blame EVERY crime on chemicals. Sure- there are chemicals in your brain, and certain low or high levels of them affect your mood, your behavior, etc. But, where do you draw the line? When you murder someone or many someones- who gets to say if it was okay because you supposedly couldn’t control your actions? How could we ever tell? This will no doubtedly lead to a society where the defense is used everyday…and eventually one that is used by ALL criminals. I mean, unless you’re a totally evil person who kills because you can, what sane person does murder? Couldn’t we just so easily proclaim that all people who were considered nice and loving by family and friends were insane the day or even days they acted out? This is a slippery slope I doubt few really want to head down.
Back to Andrea, who was found not guilty due to “temporary insanity”…
When she’s let out in the street (she can petition for release in a few months)…let’s hope she doesn’t kill again. If you kill once, I don’t think you’re likely to NOT kill again.
UPDATE: From doing background research on this case, Yates before the murder, and all of that…it seems that both her and her husband are insane. Her husband got her in touch with a fiery preacher who constantly said that God hated Andrea (his wife wrote letters to Andrea telling her the same thing), and that women should be under their husbands because they had evil from Eve. Andrea had depression and anxiety (so do I, but I’ve never killed anyone!), but refused to take her medicine, refused to listen to her doctors, refused to do anything anyone said to get better. The family kept having more and more children (even her husband who is obviously as clueless and stupid as they come, wanted her to have more kids!) Despite the fact that all the doctors told her NOT to have anymore kids…to stay on her medicine, that more kids would cause more stress and maybe lead to further depression and anxiety, as well as thoughts of suicide, they didn’t listen. They had 2 more kids after she started claiming seeing visions of a knife and stabbing…after she tried to kill herself.
If this is all true as reported, then I’d say they were both careless parents who had serious problems. It turns out they lived on a bus for some time traveling around in it…friends urged Rusty Yates (Andrea’s husband at the time) to buy his family a home. Again- this shows how clueless he was in the care of his family.
Just Trying to Make My Life Difficult

So…I was ready to take a position at a new place the other day. I interviewed, they gave me the job, I had the paperwork taken home to fill out, the insurance information, the employee manual, the tax forms, various things to sign off on, etc. Then, it turns out that a higher position opened up the next day at my current job and they offered it to me.
Just trying to make my life hard. 
I had given my notice and was about to write a resignation letter, and they have to go and complicate things. (sigh.) In a good way tho…it’s day time hours as opposed to the overnight shift I would have been in at the new place. I know the place here, I know the people- I like them all a lot…I know the current equipment, I know how things run, I know what to expect, all of that good stuff.
But, I had to make a decision. Weigh the options, look at the pay difference between the two jobs, the hours, the holidays I’d have off, the vacation time I’d have coming, all of it. I made my decision, and I’ve decided I will stay on where I’ve been and go to a supervisory role. Well, it’s the same job with a few extra duties (that I know of offhand)…but you also write the yearly reviews, you’re the contact person when something goes wrong, you’re the one to call when someone is sick and can’t come in, etc. So, it will look good on my resume as having “management experience” (technically). That, and the pay will be a bit higher than what I was going to get at the new place, and the benefits (from what I can tell) will be about the same.
It’s odd how sometimes things happen in such an odd way timing-wise. Last week I was looking forward to a new job at a new place, but also nervous as heck- knowing I’d be in a new place with new people, doing a job that is slightly different- I’d have a lot of stuff to learn and a lot of training to do…then, suddenly, all of that goes away and this new opportunity comes about. I just feel bad that I have to call the new place and tell them I won’t take the job afterall- I always dread calls like that. I feel bad since they spent time interviewing me and talking to me and giving me the opportunity. I was honestly looking forward to something new and fresh, some new people, different ways of doing stuff, a different overall operation- just new experiences in general. At the same time, I hated the thought of not working with the people I do now, because I like them so much…and the building I’m used to, everything else that is so regular and normal and common for me since I’ve been there a few years.
I still think I’m sort of losing out (in a manner of speaking), mainly just because down the road, I’d be able to say I had experience with A and B at the new place whereas the current place doesn’t have any of that stuff…so there’s no way to get the experience there. I’ll never do some of the things at the current place I would do at the new place, and some of it I was looking forward to.
In the end you have to do what you think is best overall for yourself and what will be better for your future in general, not just A, B, and C that would be good with the new and neglect to counterbalance that with A, B, and C from the current place that might not be the same thing as the new but outweighs the new GOOD stuff. If that all makes sense.
I had to weigh the good with the bad…then I had the new chance pop up and I had to weigh hours, pay, benefits, my overall resume, etc. Just odd how things happen sometimes. I think it’s the right decision in the end. Doesn’t change the fact that I dread what will likely be a 2 minute phone call. Sometimes I wish I was the sort of person who didn’t care so much…then again, that works for your benefit most of the time, in that people respect that quality, you don’t burn any bridges this way, and you let people know you care about their time and resources as well.
Note to Steely Dan- You Guys are Out of Your Minds

Steely Dan is demanding an apology from Owen Wilson in an open letter to his brother (don’t ask me), Luke…why? They claim that his new movie YOU, ME, AND DUPREE is a ripoff of their song called Cousin Dupree.
The story from the AP says the song is about a “hormonal houseguest.” I’ve head the song many times, and I’ve always been frightened by it, because I thought it was about a perverted child rapist cousin…the lyrics talk about this guy going back to his aunt’s house to plan his next move (as in, planning what he’s going to do with his life)- he sees his little cousin and all he can say is “ouch.” Then there’s the line- “how about a kiss for you cousin dupree?” I honestly have no idea what the song is about other than a perverted guy who wants to have sex with his younger female cousin.
Clearly, no one in their right mind is going to connect that theme with the story of a houseguest adult friend of another adult who won’t leave- causing problems for the friend and his girl. I know, unless I was insane, I wouldn’t connect the two at all.
I doubt few people even recognize the name Steely Dan at all- I barely do. I happened to see them years ago on Direct TV on one of their original short music shows they did and only vaguely remember anything about them.
Their letter, 10 paragraphs long, on the band’s website says that Owen should come to their concert, get on stage, and apologize for his actions. I hope they’re kidding, because that’s absurd…they say that in return they will give him some merchandise and let him party with the band (I assume they WEREN’T klidding). Then they go on to attack him, the movie, the writer, the director, and others…only to end up with basically threatening Wilson’s life!
Truly insane from a once well known band. I guess when only a few old fogeys even know you still exist, you have to do any insane thing you can to get attention. Sadly, this won’t do a thing to help their careers, but will rather help to destroy it. I know I won’t pay attention to them after knowing of this idiotic statement.
