I haven’t followed this very closely…but Debbie Schlussel seems to think Jill Carroll is no friend of the US.
She links to her other articles on this issue. Frankly, I’m a bit confused.
Tho, I can say that I found it VERY odd that Carroll went on and on about how friendly her kidnappers were, how they never harmed her (tho she was sobbing in the video they forced her to make!), let her use the bathroom (oh golly, how nice of them), etc. She came off as very odd…anti-American? Not sure. She seems way too friendly with the anti-American groups over in Iraq tho. More later possibly if I can get a better idea of what the deal is.
I’m a victim! Whitey hates me! Whitey out to get me!
UPDATE (VIDEO): I’ve uploaded the segment on this from Special Report from Fox News
—-DOWNLOAD VIDEO (3.66 MB wmv video- 3:18 length)
Rep. Cynthia McKinney, who punched a Capitol Police Officer might face arrest…
There was apparently a press conference held today (byMcKinney)…I will look into it more…
Special Report on Fox News mentioned the incident in the preview of the show- will try to get video.
Fox News Talk should be airing John Gibson’s radio show right now, but when I tune the station in on XM RADIO, it’s saying this station is experiencing technical difficulties.
Not shocking- McKinney is using the race card. Her attorney made a statement saying the following:
“Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, like thousands of average Americans across this country, is, too, a victim of the excessive use of force by law enforcement officials because of how she looks and the color of her skin.”
“Ms. McKinney is just a victim of being in Congress while black. Congresswoman McKinney will be exonerated.”
THE NAACP is attacking the Capitol Police today. A speaker from the NAACP claimed that they abused McKinney and that they’re attacking women and blacks.
This is the FIFTH TIME McKinney has had problems with the Capitol Police.
This woman is a nut. Well, her lawyer is a nut too.
More to come…
VIDEO UPDATE: Malkin has the video of the press conference.
MCKINNEY IS saying she will file her own charges and make a civil case of this issue. A staffer for a Republican Rep from Michigan filed a report swearing that she saw the incident and that McKinney punched the officer. The officer has filed a statement swearing that he was punched by McKinney.
The video from Special Report on Fox News coming in a bit…
I have to wonder if some sports are just too dangerous for sane people to take part in. The death of IRL driver Paul Dana brings this to mind in an important way. Is it necessarily a good thing to take part in sports that have the built-in danger of death?
I mean, sure- you can get killed in any sport, but the chances of getting killed playing baseball are tiny…the chances of getting killed in racing like this at 200 mph is- well, much much higher when comparing it to other sports. In general (I don’t have any stats), deaths aren’t that likely, but in regard to sports overall, driver’s in these racing leagues might as well strap bombs to their bodies and just hope the explosives are duds.
People want to do wild and crazy things…racing is exciting, but is the sport just too dangerous to take part in without wondering if those involved have a death wish?
Racing isn’t going anywhere…but personally, if I had a family, there’s no way on earth I’d go out everyday knowing I could very easily get killed. Being killed as a police officer, a fireman, etc. is one thing…getting killed driving a car around a circle for hours on end is a totally different issue altogether. For me, I’d think of myself as selfish to go out everyday and put myself in that danger if I had a family. To me, it’s just not right. Now, I’ve no idea how the wives of racers in general feel- maybe most of them have no problem with it at all, and that’s their right. I just think that I personally wouldn’t feel right choosing such a profession if I had a family.
Fact is- I’d personally love to get into one of these cars and race, but common sense tells me that the risks involved are way too high for the amount of pleasure it would bring.
I wonder if anyone has ever looked into the marriages of racers? If the stress is too much for some spouses…if the chance of death going to work everyday doing a sport is too much of a burden.
The point is- racing is, in my view, sometimes interesting to watch…it’s surely exciting for those who take part…it’s most definitely here to stay, but is there a line where thrill seeking becomes just plain stupid?
*I’m not at all saying that racers are stupid…I’m just wondering about the mental aspect of those involved in the sport, their families, what stresses and burdens are involved, the stats on families and if marriages ever break up over this issue, and more. Just pondering the issue.
According to Sean Hannity on his radio show today- Cynthia McKinney was supposed to hold a press conference today with her attorney, but it was cancelled. Still trying to find out if the cop she assaulted will press charges…

Welcome to all the immature kids from PZ’s blog! Post all the hate-filled nonsense you want, then call everyone who doesn’t see things your way ‘stupid’ and make false claims about them, their lives, their families, etc. Like I said- par for the course.
Good to know that fools like PZ Myers get paid public tax dollars to act like children. He runs a popular science website…a science website that demands no dissent (esp. in regards to evolution that is unguided and ruled by chance). The top of his site shows how little class the man has. The top reads:
“Evolution, development, and random biological ejaculations from a godless liberal”
Remember, this is PROFESSOR PZ Myers. Of a public university!
If you go to Myers’ website, you will see that he is an atheist. He doesn’t care for religion, especially Christianity. He’s on a mission to call names of ANYONE who supports ID. In one recent post, he attacks Jonathan Witt and calls him a “quack,” “nuts,” and “certifiable.”
Then, if you look at the top of his website, he had a random quote that pops up on each refresh. Here’s a sampling of the quotes (he’s a fan of atheists, Marxists, and worse…)
Demons do not exist any more than gods do, being only the products of the psychic activity of man.
[Sigmund Freud, New York Times Magazine, 6 May 1956
Professors at public colleges who post things like this clearly don't leave all of that at home and they almost surely bring these biases into the classroom to indoctrinate our kids.
"The first requisite for the happiness of the people is the abolition of religion."
See a pattern here for Mr. Hateful? He wants to destroy religion and religious belief, and he’s a fan of Marx!
When the people failed to worship one of these gods, or failed to feed and clothe his priests, (which was much the same thing,) he generally visited them with pestilence and famine. Sometimes he allowed some other nation to drag them into slavery — to sell their wives and children; but generally he glutted his vengeance by murdering their firstborn. The priests always did their whole duty, not only in predicting these calamities, but in proving, when they did happen, that they were brought upon the people because they had not given quite enough to them.
[Robert G. Ingersoll, "The Gods", 1872]
Obession with attacking religion, anyone?
I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator.
[Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp. 46]
Here, Myers wants you to believe that Hitler wasn’t an atheist (he was), and that he was a Christian…the term “Almighty Creator” would be used by a Christian. Unfortunately, any fool can check google to learn that Hitler was NOT a Christian, but merely used the idea to keep those around him appeased. You can search google and find dozens of quotes where Hitler attacks Christianity, the Bible, Jesus, the Jewish God, etc.
And this one (more religion bashing obsession here):
Science can teach us, and I think our own hearts can teach us, no longer to look around for imaginary supports, no longer to invent allies in the sky, but rather to look to our own efforts here below to make this world a fit place to live in, instead of the sort of place that the churches in all these centuries have made it.
[Bertrand Russell, "Why I Am Not A Christian"]
And one more:
Indifference to religion, due to thought, strengthens character,
[W.T. Root, Prof. of Psychology at Univ. of Pittsburg, after examining 1,916 prisoners]
What you have to realize is that PZ hates religion. It’s clear from going thru his site and the archives of his site. Christianity is a main target…he will attack most people who believe in God, call them quacks, fools, morons, etc. He’s the type of rabid atheist that even mild mannered moderate atheists can’t stand. He’s rabid in the way that Dawkins is, just not so horrible.
This is just one example of a professor teaching the young minds of American kids today. Wonderful thought, isn’t it?
And before I go, another quick taste of the hate coming from the college professor:
Laugh long and hard, everyone, and let’s all sing out, “I told you so!” Prayer is worthless. Despite his job description, I think I’d rather like Dr Koenig:
Dr. Harold G. Koenig, director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at the Duke University Medical Center, who did not take part in the study, said the results did not surprise him.
“There are no scientific grounds to expect a result and there are no real theological grounds to expect a result either,” he said.
Science, he said, “is not designed to study the supernatural.”
Once again, the Templeton Foundation throws another bucket of money down a rathole of foolishness.
UPDATE (Mar 31, 206- 2PM CT): I should note (I noticed this before but never commented on it, someone on another site just mentioned it so I’m reminded to make note.) In PZ’s blog, he states the following. He quotes Jonathan Witt’s post and then replies. Problem is, Myers is purposefully distorting what Witt says. Even worse, Myers attacks Witt as “nuts” and “certifiable” based on Myer’s own distortion of what Witt said not what Witt ACTUALLY said!
Here are the two quotes:
Witt: “After that the real work begins. I’m talking about all those uncooperative fossils, the great quarries in Canada and China that show how most of the major groups of animals appeared in a geologically brief period of time during the Cambrian explosion, contradicting Darwin’s gradually branching tree of life. Those fossils can’t just be left sitting around. They too will have to be gotten rid of.”
Myers: “Jonathan Witt is nuts. Read the science journals, read the textbooks, read great volumes like Valentine’s On the Origin of Phyla(amzn/b&n/abe/pwll)—he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Biologists embrace the Cambrian. There is a wealth of wonderful information there, extensively discussed and written about, and we simply love this stuff.
Get rid of the Cambrian fossils? That statement alone is enough to qualify the man as certifiable.”
Myers is distorting what is an obvious sarcastic remark from Witt. Myers and others like him want to ignore the explosion as if it doesn’t exist, as if it doesn’t pose problems to the gradualistic model (I’m not sure of his personal view, but I wouldn’t doubt he disagrees with Gould and Eldridge in their view of the fossil record.)
Point is- this statement shows that it is Myers, not Witt, who is certifiable for making an obvious distorting. Lying doesn’t get your case very far…lying and then calling someone “nuts” based on that lie is even worse! Myers knows quite well that Witt wasn’t saying we should destroy fossils!
Sadly, this is an obvious distortion, yet as far as I can see from the comments- none of Myers’ band of sycophants pointed this out. They were too busy attacking, calling names, and using the word “retard” every other word.
I’ll repeat it one last time- this is a public college professor who teaches the young people of the nation. Let’s stop denying that academia has gone down the tubes.
Of all the vacation deals ever made, by far the best one has to be a tie between the caribbean vacation packages and the myrtle beach vacation packages. The cancun vacation packages is a great deal too if offered at lesser rates. This holds true for the san diego vacation packages as well.
Rep. Cynthia McKinney- the nutjob of nutjobs in the US House…this woman has been an unhinged radical for the entirety of her career. She’s had numerous problems, including run-ins with the law over campaign contributions, business problems, and worse.
She protested the 1991 Iraq war, causing legislators to walk out on her inane remarks. She claimed President Bush knew about the Sept 11 attacks before they happened, when she said:
“We know there were numerous warnings of the events to come on September 11… Those engaged in unusual stock trades immediately before September 11 knew enough to make millions of dollars from United and American airlines, certain insurance and brokerage firms’ stocks. What did the Administration know, and when did it know it about the events of September 11? Who else knew and why did they not warn the innocent people of New York who were needlessly murdered?”
She attacked Al Gore by race baiting him with this comment:
“Al Gore’s Negro tolerance level has never been too high. I’ve never known him to have more than one black person around him at any given time.”
Unfortunately for the clueless McKinney, Gore’s campaign manager was Donna Brazile, a BLACK FEMALE.
She changed her hairstyle recently and was asked to show ID to Capitol Police yesterday (the officer didn’t recognize her). She refuses to wear her Congressional pin as she is supposed to. When grabbed by the arm for going thru the barriers without permission, she (according to witnesses) punched the officer in the chest. One news report of the affair state that there was a chance of her being arrested after Wednesday’s session. I don’t think she was arrested afterall- her statement on her website doesn’t mention any of this.
That same news report quotes an unconfirmed statement that states:
“Do I have to contact the police every time I change my hairstyle? How do we account for the fact that when I wore my braids every day for 11 years, I still faced this problem, primarily from certain white police officers,” the statement says.
“I was rushing to my meeting when a white police officer yelled to me. He approached me, bodyblocked me, physically touching me. I used my arm to get him off of me. I told him not to touch me several times. He asked for my ID and I showed it to him. He then let me go and I proceeded to my meeting and I assume that the Police Officer resumed his duties. I have counseled with the Sergeant-at-Arms and Acting Assistant Chief Thompson several times before and counseled with them again on today’s incident. I offered also to counsel with the offending police officer.”
This certainly fits McKinney’s racist past with her comments I mentioned above, as well as these issues with McKinney and her racial obsession:

Moses stops by to say hi…
…unfortunately he couldn’t figure out the QWERTY keyboard, so ‘hi’ was about all I could get him to write.
This is actually a doll being made by a Christian group of the L.A. area and will be sold online. The site that will sell them is having troubles now, so I will post a link later.
I saw the series LOOK AROUND YOU that just started on BBC America…and wow- I thought it’d never end.
I checked imdb.com and most people seem to love it on there. I’m completely confused, because this show is completely idiotic. I mean, I’ve seen some bad comedies, but I’m just at a loss for words.
I’ve actually no idea what the series is trying to be…it’s a comedy set in the late 70′s or early 80′s (I’m not sure which)…they have a few hosts who look into what the future will be like. The episode I saw was music of the future and they had a thing called Music 2000 with 3 contestants performing what they thought would be the music in 2000. The first guy sings high pitched gibberish to guitar, a woman who keeps saying “I don’t know” to every question asked of her sings “YES….YES…YES…YES…NO…NO…” with some weird looking space-like outfit on…and a third guy sings “rap” that is supposed to be funny but isn’t.
They had a short segment where one of the hosts interviewed some nerdy guy who loves synthesizers so much he changed his name to Synthesizer Patel and went out of his way to show that each one had a burglar alarm because crime is so out of control.
Another segment showed a system of tubes that record store owners put receipts of record purchases into- the papers went to a central office and that’s how they get the music charts…but many different businesses use the same tubes, so the postal tower spent 6 weeks at number 1 on the charts and a clothes hanger kept popping in and out of the charts. The solution was to make each record with a small device on it that sent a signal to the charting center…the host asks- wouldn’t an artist simply play his own record over and over and boost his ratings? Well, no- they thought of that and they made it where the record erases itself afetr one play.
It’s hard to explain, but that’s only because it’s that absurd. I tried my best!
Some comedy shows aren’t very funny, but you might laugh a few times at something…with this show, I didn’t laugh once…maybe there’s something about the British I don’t know, and maybe I should be scared. Very very scared! I just hope this isn’t considered top notch British comedy!
The series Bromwell High (an animated show) started the same night on BBC America, and it was nearly as bad. Ed VS Spencer was the 3rd show that started with these other 2, and it was just so absurd I couldn’t watch but 10 mins of it. Two friends compete to do different things- make the best porno was one show. In the episode I saw, they were competing to see which one could get in the worst physical shape. Wow- what a laugh riot!
This is comedy?
I wish BBC America would try to find some decent comedies to air! As if their annoying habit of running nonstop episodes of home improvement shows wasn’t bad enough, we get these ludicrously unfunny comedies when there’s so much stuff out there we could be seeing in its place.
Not that it’s all bad- they did bring to the US shows like Green Wing and Teachers, but of which I think are brilliant (especially Green Wing.)
As if we didn’t already know this, but Saddam has a God-complex who thinks he IS Iraq.
The Middle East Media Research Institute posts this transcript from a jail cell interview Saddam did, where he says:
“Even though I am in prison, I don’t allow anyone to speak on my behalf, so long as I live. I am still the president…
…I know that people who listen to me might think that Saddam Hussein has become apathetic in prison and stopped supporting terrorism. No. I’m not ashamed to tell you that Iraq, without Saddam Hussein, isn’t worth two bits. Therefore, it will make me happy if Iraq turns into dust…
…What is the people worth without Saddam Hussein?! What is it worth? Iraq is entirely Saddam Hussein. “Long live Iraq” means “long live Saddam Hussein.” What is Iraq worth without Saddam Hussein?”
And to think- millions of people are furious at the current administration for taking this guy out of power. They’d think the world a better place with Saddam in power. It’s obvious that despots who think they’re gods, who think they ARE the supreme lifetime rulers of a nation are the most dangerous ones who would do anything to conquer other nations and peoples. Think Hitler. Yes, I am just SO sad we took this tyrant out of power…heaven forbid such evil acts.
Vanessa from Sponk grew up! And she got hot!
I’ve got 4 pages of pics of her from the trailer from her upcoming film Stick It. I will add those later tonight or sometime tomorrow in this post. I just have to upload the photos and arrange them on the pages…
UPDATE: Okay, that was quicker than I thought. Here is the first page of 4 of pics from the Stick It trailer. Tons of Vanessa. Fun stuff…
